Tea Party Express TV / BigRight TV

Project Purpose:                                               

The purpose of the National Correspondent Contest is to:

1. Engage more Americans to explore issues, submit their own video commentaries, share their submissions with friends, family and social networks, and drive people to vote for the best answers
2. Empower emerging talent to articulate the conservative message and capture the spirit of the rising grassroots movement to take back our government.
3. Elevate winners to travel with Tea Party Express.tv in provide ongoing news reports through 1) Tea Party Express TV’s online channel and 2) BigRight TV’s mobile channel.
4. Energize a wider audience of Americans by generating media attention about the contest, highlighting the winners, and promoting their on-the-scene Tea Party Express.tv efforts.
5.  Collect contact information for the growing grassroots movement to keep them engaged and connected to participate in the election process.

Project Description:                                   

Each week, aspiring correspondents will be invited to submit one-minute videos, based on a question issued by TPETV and BRTV.  Videos will be pushed out concurrently through BigRight TV (on mobile) and Tea Party Express TV (on the web) with an opportunity for viewers to rate each video.  Each week’s winner will be announced and become a finalist to be a national correspondent for Tea Party Express.tv.

Finalists will create another video submission the week of September 6 for the final round of voting, which will determine the top 4 winners. 

Contest Requirements:

1. All entrants must be U.S. citizens and provide valid registration information.
2. All entrants must be at least 21 years old by September 1, 2010.
