The American Family Business Institute is offering money for constituent creativity. AFBI is encouraging people all over the country to go to town hall meetings this August recess and ask their representative to sign the Estate Tax Repeal Pledge or thank the representative for signing if he or she already has. The Federal Estate Tax destroys small businesses and farms, but it raises no revenue. Each year the Federal Estate Tax gathers $23 billion from small businesses and farms, but it costs about $26 billion. The Federal Estate Tax is a bad tax that accomplishes nothing.
