Day Thirteen – Columbus, OH/Wheeling, WV

This rally in Columbus was a special highlight for me because here I reconnected with my high school friend, Robbin, whom I hadn’t seen in about fifteen years! We had a great time chatting it up while waiting for me to speak. Robbin is not necessarily what most would deem a republican. I don’t really know her political views. However, she joined me in the 2010 dance that accompanies Lloyd Marcus’ song, and connected with the team and others in attendance. Later she posted that she had a great time at the rally and how nice the people were—referring to the Tea Party Express.

Day Twelve – Jackson, Waterford and Monroe, MI

Ah, the great state of Michigan! The people of the Great Lakes region are always great supporters in every way of the Tea Party Express. Some people drove from surrounding cities and followed us to the next stop such as my Facebook friend, Candy Gillman. Candy is a tea party organizer in Michigan and does whatever she can to support the movement. She is boots on the ground, and always anticipating how to further spread the message.

Day Eleven – Springfield and Frankfort, IL

Well, this is the part of the tour where the winter clothes have to be worn! And we’re not even in Michigan!! But American patriots will not be deterred because it is cold!

We rallied with patriots who had previously attended our rally, along with many who hadn’t. A fire pit provided a much needed warming spot, and kept not just the crowd, but the TPX team of speakers and entertainers toasty!

Day Ten – Paducah, KY and St. Louis, MO

Sunshine! It was so warm on Paducah, KY that I changed from jeans and a sweater to a skirt, TPX t-shirt, and sandals! It really was great weather to be outdoors, sharing the message of liberty and freedom.

Our special guest at this stop was Rand Paul. His message was timely, pointed and well delivered. A Kentucky favorite, Paul received great applause from the crowd.

Day Nine – Nashville, TN

The storm that we were hoping to elude met us for a little while upon our stop in Paducah, KY. We rallied at Scoreboards restaurant, which was a familiar stop to us as we rallied there on our last TPX tour. The crowd endured the rain that lasted for about a third of the program. Finally the rain ceased and the clouds made way for enough sunshine to warm us. I was particularly proud of the fact that the crowd endured the weather and didn’t let it damper their spirits.

But that’s the patriotic spirit, isn’t it?

Halfway Point! Day Eight – Dallas/Fort Worth, TX and Little Rock, AR

Our final stop for the Lone Star state took place at the Texas Raceway in Speegleville. The crowd was fired up to rally with TPX!

After the rally, two of the three TPX buses engaged in a bus “drag race!” Father and son bus drivers, Tom and Thomas Studer competed against each other. And, the winner is………….the light blue bus – Thomas Studer, Jr! Definitely the drag race was a delightful way to cap off our final day with Lone Star patriots!

Almost to the Halfway Point!

Day Seven – Abilene and Waco, TX

A beautiful, sunny day showered us as the TPX team rallied in Abilene, Texas. When Lloyd Marcus performed his song, "2010" ladies stormed the stage to perform the "kick dance" that accompanies his song. It was a really nice day to rally with patriots from Texas!

Hometown Tea Party conservative rapper, Politik (David Saucedo), met his hometown supporters, and family in Waco, TX. Governor Rick Perry joined the TPX team and other candidates who rallied with us.

Day Six!

LAS CRUCES, NM/EL PASO, TX—Day six of the tour called for an EARLY start—we were en route to Las Cruces, NM by 6:23 am. The bus was lively with discussions among William Owens, Lloyd Marcus, and Kevin Jackson. Then Gold Star mom, Debbie Lee, and Radio Patriot, Andrea Shea King, as well as myself joined in. Although we differed on some points, it was a clear reminder that we have the FREEDOM to speak our mind! This freedom is an inalienable right given to us by God.

Day Five - Phoenix, AZ

Our sole stop of day five was Phoenix, AZ. A crowd was rallied together, and none other than Sarah Palin joined us and kicked off our rally! Accompanying Sarah was baby Trig and what a joy to see mom and baby on stage, speaking to Americans about the need to stay engaged. The visit from Sarah was impromptu, and a delightful surprise.

Day Four - San Diego, CA and Yuma, AZ

Day four of the tour landed us at Tuna Harbor in beautiful San Diego. The climate was moist and breezy and the people came out in abundance. Newt Gingrich, Melanie Morgan and Roger Hedgecock headlined our tour. Just as the rally ended, gray. Although our t stormy clouds and gusty winds enveloped us but did not damper the American spirit of patriotism!

Our second stop of the day was Yuma AZ. Under a wide expanse of the outdoors, we partied like it was 1773!
